Is there a minimum term when storing my items with Kingfisher Self Storage?

A minimum of one month applies. 

What size storage units do you have?

Currently we have 3m x 3m, 3m x 4.5m, and 3m x 6m storage options available. Details can be found on our Facility page

When can I access my storage unit?

Kingfisher Self Storage provides 24/7 access to the site via individual swipe cards provided to each customer.

Do you offer drive up loading/unloading?

Yes, the facility is designed for easy access to your storage unit.

Do you provide insurance?

No; we know your items stored with us are valuable, and we encourage each customer to obtain their own insurance for items stored with us.

What security measures do you have in place?

We take the security of our self storage site very seriously. You can read all about it on our Security page.

Do I have to provide my own padlock?

Yes; we've provided a bunch of security measures for the site, but the padlock is up to you. This ensures only you have a key and access to your storage shed.

Are there restrictions on what can be stored?

Yes; for the safety and security of all our clients, you may not store anything that is:

  • hazardous,
  • illegal,
  • stolen,
  • inflammable (flammable),
  • explosive,
  • environmentally harmful,
  • perishable,
  • livestock,
  • or that is a risk to the property of any person.

This includes items like petrol tins, paint thinner, full gas bottles, or chlorine. Garden equipment such as lawnmowers and whipper snippers should be emptied of fuel before storing.
